How does the tie break work?

I think it's best to work with an example. The first week the tie break game is: Illinois (+8.5) at Missouri I think Missouri is going to cover that line so I picked Missouri to win by 10. Illinois 25 Missouri 35 If I picked the score: Illinois 25 Missouri 30 I'd be taking Illinois to cover the spread. Keep in mind the actual score will only be used in the case of a tie.

When is the deadline to register?

If you have some friends or family that intend to sign up but haven't, registration will remain open through Friday 10/29. The first two games to be played Thursday 10/28 will be chosen for them at random. After Friday 10/29 registration will be closed.

When is the deadline to pay?

There will be some folks that register, but do not want to play for money. Those folks will make their picks like everyone else, and will have their own leader board. They just won't be in the running for the pot and will not be included in the same leader board as the folks that have put up $50.

No one has to decide if they want to put up the $50 until 10/3. The day before the first conference game. No one will know where they stand in the rankings until 10/5 when the leader board comes comes out so you won't be able to take that into consideration.

Bottom line, most everyone will put up the entry fee and the non-conference games are worth so much less than the conference games (10 vs 18 points) the real game won't even start until conference play anyhow.

Look forward to that leader board on 10/5 at 10:00 am. This will be the completion of the first segment worth 5% of the pot.
